Voices

We are producing a series of audio stories on selected themes which will be released on this page. We want to honour the rich variety of voices and perspectives we have had the opportunity to hear while interviewing trainers, course participants, administrators and others involved in TUTA’s 21 years in operation from 1975-1996.

May Day 2023: Our first audio story is about the potential of union training to empower people. It features the voices of TUTA course participants, some of whom went on to be trainers themselves. It aired on Radio 3CR’s Breakfast Show on Monday 1 May. You can hear it on catch-up here: https://www.3cr.org.au/monday-breakfast/episode/may-day-breakfast-2023 and fast forward to 1:03:29 for the TUTA story.
